cheap foam sanding blocks?

i have seen and used the dura-block sanding blocks and they work great. i was wondering if any one knows of a type of foam to use and a place to get it to make a substitute for a durablock that would be semi flexible and good for wet and dry sanding.

a piece of scotch brite folded over works well for a wet sanding sponge

Re: cheap foam sanding blocks?

i am looking for a semi rigid, semi flexible typ of foam that i could cut to any size to make sanding blocks out of. my nephew has some foam building blocks that are the right materials but i dont think circles, squares and rectangles would work...lol
