new guy

Hi
I am new here and have just bought a 1988 firebird. I think its a formula, it has the power bulge hood and the wrap around spoiler but no formula decals. Its a TBI 305 automatic and only has 140,000kms on it but the paint on the back half of the car is faded and peeling in spots so it is in need of a paint job. What I was wondering is if the bumpers and side skirts off of a trans am or a GTA would fit. I like the body style of them better but this car was a good deal and there is not alot to chose from here. I will post some pics when I figure out how, right now it keeps saying upload failed. Thanks.

Re: new guy

not sure about the bumper covers, but the gfx will fit with a little drilling... and since its a Formy you wont have holes on the body from the current gfx because there isn't any gfx on there.

Hey wythe, welcome to TGO! Yes the T/A GTA bumpers and gfx will fit your car,but you will have to drill holes on the fenders, doors, and rr. quarter panels to mount the gfx.If you need help, just post what kind of problem you're having if you can't find the answer by doing a search for your question on this site.If you're unsure what exactly I mean by (search) look at the top of the message boards page, you will see the search button.Just click on that, then type in keyword for what you're looking for.I'm quite sure you'll find what you're looking for, there is tons of useful info here.Good luck with it,Tim
