Rear Spoiler Painting Tips

Hello,

The rear spoiler on my 88 GTA is badly chipping off. It seems to be made of some sort of rubber? I used to paint semi tractors for a living a few years back. Question is, can this be sanded, primed and painted?

Thanks for any info.

Re: Rear Spoiler Painting Tips

chances are yours, as are ours, is rusted out inside, its made of a rubber outside, and metal and some sort of foam inside. your best bet is probably a fiberglass one.

Like Tmic said, get a 'glass spoiler, I was really happy w/mine. They're about 20 times lighter and it'll last 20 times longer.
