brand new bumper saggage

i bought this bumper for my car this summer (i believe around june) and i got it to replace my telephone pole dented one, iput it on, and all looked good, but then as the summer went by, it progressively sagged more and more and more and now...i replaced the honeycomb shock absorber pad behind it, and the only problem putting it on was that it was really tight to stretch ontot he front end. i'm trying to figure out how to fix it.....anyone have any similar problems or have any idea how to fix it?

here the bumper problem:
OLD BUMPER:

^^yeah that kinda mkaes me sick to my stomach lol^^

NEW BUMPER:

NEW BUMPER ON CAR:

HOW IT SAGS NOW:

and heres a picture after i was able to pull the bumper up a little but i can still see some saggage....i was really planning to take my second gen firebird emblem that i bought and put it on the front but the way that it has indents stuck in it, i dont think i'll be able to....

i was really hoping for it to be fine, but i guess it all went together too smoothly lol

Re: brand new bumper saggage

well i looked online for a new bumper, i looked at hawks to get a bearing of what the top dollar would be....it was like 350, i found a site called like autopartswholesale.com, they had it for 280 so i bought it, i didnt know the warranty was for 1 month lol but yeah, i looked backon their site and now they want like 380 for it,i suppose this was the last of the crappy batch or something lol? me and my dad are thinking of trying to push it up from under with some sort of steel rod or something he thinks....i dunno

any suggestions? i have tried tightening everything i can but it doesnt help...

is it possible that the tightness from the sides could have pulled the bumper like this?

Re: brand new bumper saggage

maybe you could put some support on the back of it like ribs or something and the tightness from the sides sounds like a possibility

Re: brand new bumper saggage

my dad looked online for a bumper for his monte and theyre pretty much set up the same, no real support, just the bumper holds its own shape...but there was apparently a similar problem so now they glue a piece of metal to the inside of the bumper to stop the giant dimple/dents from appearing like in mine.....so we may try that or we may try a piece of metal from the license plate mount under neath to push it back in place.....i wasnt sure if anyone has had a similar experience or anything like that

Re: brand new bumper saggage

yeah i have a huge list going too....i actually have 3 sheets of paper taped to my desk right now, each one is a list....body, interior, and engine/mechanical....each time i have money saved up something brakes too lol and the color is supposed to be Go-Man-Go, its the color of the dodge daytona trucks, but it was 225 a quart....i found a place who could mix it for me for 50 a quart....unfortunately its not the exact same color but thanks for the compliment though!

Re: brand new bumper saggage

Try the dealer, you might be surprised. I bought mine 3 years ago for under $300 from them. Also, try buy-oem-parts.com They had this for about $300-$350 a while ago, and it was an actual GM part. I had a junk aftermarket cover on my car, but it was sagging too. Put a new GM cover on it, problem solved (3 years running)

Re: brand new bumper saggage

hmm....yeah i really dont want to paint the bumper again and stuff....but if i cant find someway to fix it, then yeah, i'll have to go GM....we're thinking about putting some support from underneath to kinda push the bumper back out
