Hood - missing weld-in nut

I have a hood I wanted to put on my car before paint. Where the hood attaches, there are 4 bolts through the hinges into the hood, there are nuts in the hood welded inside that these bolts attach to - 1 is missing - looks like the weld broke and the nut is lost.

Is there a way to get this hood to work? Can my body/paint guy fix it in anyway? Or should I not waste time with it and just get another hood before I paint.

Thanks

without seeing a picture its kinda hard to say but it should be possible to tack another nut in place if you can get it back there..

Just a thought. However, my thought may be way off base without seeing a picture of your situation. My thought is figure out what kind/type of nut you'll be needing. Run a bolt through said nut, (sketchy part without picture) fit nut with bolt into the mount point then weld nut into place. Remove bolt. From what my minds eye is seeing, you should be good to go.

Best of luck.
