fenders 92 on an 89?s

heah I posted this in restoration by mistake the first time sorry, an 89 fender has different bolt holes than an 91-92, I'm putting on 91-92 gfxs on my 89 what i need to know is can i just drill new holes for newer gfxs to fit or do i have to buy 2 newer fenders and if so will they fit an 89? thanks
I talked to a dude from fbodymotorsports and he thinks the fenders are the same no holes are different, is this true before i order a fender?

Camaro, I assume?
You don't need new fenders, but you will need to drill holes. At the rear of the fender, you will need to drill two holes for the rocker GFX. At the front, It's a little more involved. The front spoiler has two tabs on each side that protrude into slots that are punched in the lower front fender. There is a tab at the very ends of the spoiler to mount it to the inside fender lip. That will line up with a pre-existing hole in the fender. Use these holes as a guide to line up the spoiler and mark were the slots need to be in the fender. You can make the slots in the fender by drilling holes and playing "connect the dots" with a cut-off wheel.
