Firebird Weight
What does my 1992 Firebird? OR what should it weigh?
I think they weighed it when I got my emissions done because it said something like 4158pounds on my emissions sheet. And looking around it seems it should weigh a lot less then that?

Re: Firebird Weight
that sounds pretty heavy to me.. it really depends on options but ive heard them weighing in anywhere from 2800 - 3400 lbs. theres tons of threads on this do a little searching you'll find what you need. from the looks of your info we have similar cars but ive never weighed mine. post up when you find your correct weight.

Well then I guess if the weight they put down is right, my car is a little over weight, lol. Where do they weigh cars at? Because now I would really like to have an accurate number.

So late at night I can just drive through where the trucks go to get weighed?

I dunno about ur town, but the one near me is basically right beside the highway and the scale lights are always on, i dont think it would be illegal...i could be wrong lol. but yeah just drive through like the trucks do...at night i would assume its less busy.

Re: Firebird Weight
these cars are in the lower 3k range
no where near any 4k lbs
you can use sand and gravel company scale
we have one just outside of town here, i weigh vehicles on it after hours
the lightest all time ever so far is my 88 toyota pickup it only weighs 2720lbs with me in it haha
2wd
wooden flatbed homemade
4cyl 22RE, auto trans
the grille and cowl panel and some interior and some other parts removed
i will be weighing the 82 t/a out there when i get the exhaust on it soon
good luck
