Aftermarket Hood Question

I recently upgraded my standard steel Trans AM hood for a fiberglass Ram Air I hood from Hawks Third Gen. When it was installed, the folks doing the install were not able to get their hand up inside to use the nut on the back of the screw that holds down the pop spring. Does anyone know of an alternative way to get the spring installed to the hood instead of to the bumper filler panel? I'd really like to get a spring installed because right now it's a two-person job to open my hood with no spring. Talk about a PITA. Thanks.

Re: Aftermarket Hood Question

That hood should have an insert molded into the spring mounting area.
Perhaps yours is broken?or they just forgot to put it in?
If so,maybe just epoxy/fiberglass a nut over the hole so that the screw can thread into that?
