Your IROC looks great! I live about 10 minutes from wheel collision center in Bath, but never delt with them, how was their service? Looks like they do nice work. I've been considering having my old American Racings redone when I repaint my bird.

When me and my dad restored our 66 Chevelle 396/375 M22 matching #'s car, it took about 3-4 years before it ever hit the road... Congrats on the "new" IROC... I'm in the process of finishing mine. Paint is done, just waiting on the Louvers and Decals...

Re: Finally Painting my IROC!
Thanks for the replies! I'm dying to drive this car! It's supposed to start snowing tonite. Bummer, that means more salt on the roads. I've just about resigned myself to the fact that it is going no where until spring. My inspection mechanic helped in the engine build part. As he looked over the car he exclaimed "You got a brand new 89!" He did the inspection in my garage but cant sticker or emmission it til it goes to his garage. He got stoked up and is now working on his 1980 Camaro! I plan on trying Autocross with it this coming summer. Thanks again guys and gals.

Re: Finally Painting my IROC!
Man This thread inspires me. My 87 was originally that same red. Somewhere along the line one of the owners decided they were gonna paint it cherry red. I prefer the original red like yours. Can't wait to get mine looking original again.
@Eagle223usa- I was wondering if you know the answer to this? Since I seen the way your wheels came out I am seriously considering having my wheels redone. My question is since mine have been chromed out can they be redone to look like yours with the gold and all?

Re: Finally Painting my IROC!
My buddy the mechanic (his name is Ben) bought a set of 85-87 single line 16" IROC wheels and is doing the refinishing himself. They are looking great! I might try to do my spare set myself and save a grand! He just stripped them then wet sanded with fine sand paper and buffed them with Mothers. They are impressive!

Re: Finally Painting my IROC!
Well on Friday, March 16 she became street legal for the first time since I've owned her. Got it aligned and inspected in one day. Me and the Wife put about 100 miles on her this weekend. I ran into a few small issues, small leak in the power steering re routing some wiring but overall she is a success! Being back behind the wheel of a Thirdgen IROC was like slipping into a comfortable pair of jeans. I'll try to post pics but my comp is having a fit with that right now...

Great job man. What did you have to do to the engine? What was keeping it from running? Congrats!
