i bought a glass hood from a guy that was suppose to be a pin on hood i beleive. hw deilled 4 holes on it (each corner) but still drilld hles so it can "try" to bolt up to the hinges. my question i, is the hood strong enough to be bolted to the body when it wa made to be pin on?

 

usually the bolt on hoods are made differently, with more reinforcement on the underside to support its own weight. The pin on ones are usually really thin and wont support their own weight.
