I'm a Firebird guy so please bare with me. I've looked at alot of pictures of 85-92 Camaros and I know that the grill insert, chin spoilers GFX and maybe the foglights and there mounts are different. Heres my question, is the bumper cover and light bar its self the same from 85-92? Thx.

 

its the same bumper from 85-92. for GFX's cars.

82-84 Z28 bumper
82-84 camaro,Berlinetta

85-87 Berlinetta, Base camaro, and LT

85-92, RS, Iroc, Z28 and Base 88 camaro.

Light bars are the same '82- '92.

 

just wanted to add that the lower chin spoiler is different for 85-90 versus 91 92. 91 and 92 have an aero lower chin spoiler

 

Are all lower chins interchangable between 85-92 if it was a GFX car? I have a 91 Z28 front bumper cover and just want to know if it will work on a 85 for example. I do not have the chin spoiler from the 91 Z28 BTW. Someone is bond to ask if I do.

 

yes all the actual bumper covers are the same from 85-92, except of course from the base model. but all Z28, RS, and IROC front bumpers are the same. and either chin spoiler will mount on it.

 

i put the 91-92 chin on my 88 and had to cut of the mounts towrd the make by the wheel well. the onlything holding the back on is two bolts at the wheel well opening. so infact the gfx it diffrent

 

1. That has nothing to do with the bumper in question.

2. Don't cut those mounts off, cut the slots into the fender like a '91-'92 car.
