So I bought an 87 TA. When I got it the hatch lock had been punched out and all latch components removed. Someone rigged up the latch assembly from an earlier car ( couldn't believe it worked that way! ).

I want to return it to as it should be. Has button on dash.

I have a power lift/release unit from same year car with the relay but can't find wiring for it in rear.

Is it posible my car just came with a power release and not the lift motor? Any way to tell?
