Re: Hood Blisters!!
Thanks! and thanks for showing the interest in my car too! I've been working on it for a year and a half. Its gone from a V6 stripped out RS to a TPI fully loaded including IROC suspension components etc... The cars gone through quite the transformation. I'll have a LOT of pictures to post on here when its done in a couple months, but heres a few more for now!

I'm almost done with my interior, I got my drivers seat in this weekend now I just need to complete my power conversions on the locks / windows etc so I can put my door panels back on! (i put in a picture from the night i got the car... i think the interior has had quite the transformation too... from cigarette stained seats and ashes everywhere to... well, MINT! haha. The picture of the rear end was when I was working on the hood...We took the hood off to put the blisters on it so it was perfectly measured and much easier to work on. Thats the first time shes seen snow

Re: Hood Blisters!!
lol yea ive had a rocky road with my Z. I bought it in june last year... and have never drove it... turns out the Vin plate was from an iroc and i didn't have the correct title... well after 8 months the car was legally mine so now i have been dumping cash in when i can. i had the state police almost impound it like twice... i almost hate the woman who sold it to me knowing what was wrong BUT its mine now and i love it to death. Im working on engine first due to it isn't running lol. Here are a few pics of mine. Also keep us posted with updates looks like you had a little more solid start... i cant complain for $800 bucks to -Matt

Also note the fact that i dont match in color either! lol

Re: Hood Blisters!!
Nice! I like to see other cars that are going through the same thing mine did/is. I bought mine last october and have driven it maybe... 6 times. i put temp plates on it for 10 days last summer but about 2 days into it, my IAC went, but by the time i had time to look at it and figure out what it was, the 10 days were over It'll be on the road this summer tho, and i can't wait. Have to finish the interior, get new tires because there mix matched and bald right now, then send her into the paint booth! I'm so excited! Good luck with your car too! I love yellow camaros. I think I'm going with Candy Apple Red or some variation of that on mine, I think a nice dark red will look real nice.

Re: Hood Blisters!!
Funny story about the 'drivers seat'

So I bought the other three seats, in mint condition from RCAR7395 (btw buy stuff from him if you need it! great seller, with good parts and good prices) I couldn't find a drivers seat in any conditon for the life of me. I ended up buying a a pass. seat and a ripped up drivers seat with the intention of swapping the fabric. However, as easy as it seams, I just didn't want to deal with holes in the wrong spots and all that jazz... so, as a temporary fix... the drivers side seat tracks bolt DIRECTLY onto the bottom of a MINT passanger seat. It takes some tricky moves, but you can get the seat into place. The reclining mechanisms are a bit in the way, but IT FITS. It is a tiny bit tough to recline the seat, and sliding it back and fourth does work, its just a bit tougher than it should be because the reclining mechanisms will be rubbing on the console side. However... if your like me, and your the only one to ever drive your car these two things shouldn't be an issue because they shouldn't ever have to move

Some people might say this is the incorect way to do it and i wouldn't disagree. But for now... I think it looks a LOT better than having a ripped up drivers seat and if I didn't type this post to you right now... i bet no one would ever know

Re: Hood Blisters!!
thought about getting rear seats or passenger seat then using that material. it's hard to find any and twice as hard to find a drivers seat and impossible to find one not trashed! thanks for the tip though.

Re: Hood Blisters!!
The other problem with that, is the fact that where the reclining mechanisms come out of the upper part of the seat, there are two holes in the fabric. The mechanism is metal, that is bolted to another piece of metal on the inside of the seat... so, you end up having a 1.5 inch by 4 inch (or so) spot of flattened material with 2 semi large holes in it... I'm sure it could be patched, but id rather not have holes in my seats good luck tho!

Re: Hood Blisters!!
Are those the ones from Hawk's? If so, I did the same thing. There are some before and after pics in here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/1010977...7604121687543/

Your car seems to be very similar to mine, with the IROC wheels and everything, just a different color
