Heater box and gasket
Not really sure where to post this..i guess its body related..sorta. Anyway for those who have removed the heater box...and then proceeded to rip the gasket, what are you guys doing to fix this? Gaskets been discontinued so thats out, unless someone knows here i can get it?

Re: Heater box and gasket
I asked a few months ago, since I cleaned mine up and sanded it down and rustproof painted it. I didn't get much for an answer. I never got around to checking if it was still available through the dealer.. probably not. Basically I was told to use 3M body caulk. It's made for sealing around heater core pipes and stuff like that. I didn't use anything, because i was just bolting it up temporarily for winter storage so the mice couldn't get in.

Re: Heater box and gasket
3M campers tape seemed to work pretty well...just a matter of trying to cram the the box back in there, i am having trouble lining it back up and getting it over that stud.
