Front Fenders not cooperating
i am fairly new to bodywork and having some issues with my front fenders. basically it seems that it would make my life a million times easier to pull the fenders off the car and deal with them on the bench. what all is entailed in pulling them? obviously i can see the hood coming off, probably the doors (putting new ones on anyway) but what else? i've run into issues on other cars with hidden spot-welds and hidden bolts. any help appreciated.

pulling the doors isn't required, but since you're replacing them anyways, might as well do it now.
Other than the hood and the obvious stuff, there are a few hidden bolts behind the front bumper cover.
What fenders are you trying to remove? 85 camaro or 86 transam

no its not like others have tried, its just parts came off the transam (hatch, seats, bumper etc) although i have seen people on this site who have done conversions, some with great looking results and some look terrible

dont try to pull off just the fenders.....it allways ends up with a broken header panel or a split bumper cover, just pull the front end all together

Re: Front Fenders not cooperating
I dont have any issues getting fenders off of camaros without removing the bumper cover. If you work carefully you should not have any problems. As for the nuts that hold the bumper cover to the fender make sure to have a few extensions it will help drasticly and if its hard to get to from the top try the bottom. The lower mount under the rocker panel can be tricky if people have tried to jack up the car in that area so dont be afraid to take a pair of pliers and bend it back to shape to get the bolts out

If you pull the fenders, changing doors will be a breeze, not the other way around
