i need help...

i have a 1984 Firebird that i have been wanting to paint for some time, but i don't know what color to do. this car (with any luck at all) will be my show car and not my daily driver, so i want something that will kinda stand out from the crowd. I have never been to a car show so i was wondering if anyone has seen some cool paint jobs that might be an option. I will do most of the prep work my self and try to put about a 1000 or a little more into getting it professionally done. Any advice or ideas are greatly appreciated.

If you want a show quality paint job, be prepared to spend a lot more than $1000

At the shops I have worked at, if you are painting the jams and everything, a show quality paint job is going to run at least $3000 if the body is fairly straight and there is no rust. If the body is rough, I would say $5000 won't be uncommon. If you find somebody to do a good job for less than that, that would be great and make sure you have them do the car before they change their mind.

Re: i need help...

as for your color question, i have seen cars that are blue that look very cool. or one option that i still love is orange with two black stripes. but its your car, and this is just my opinion. but yea, as for cost, EH82Z28 has it right. a show car quality paint job will cost you some money, i would say $1000 for a cheap daily driver paint job.
