quick question about keeping t-tops from leaking

hey guys, i replaced my rotted t-top bar in my 86 trans am.

put fresh weatherstripping in.

havent tested if they leak yet.

i wanted to ask this question before i do.

at each end of the t-top bar i have this gap where the weather stripping does not go. and im almost positive water will get in with no problem

do i just fill it in with alot of weatehrstrripping glue?

im talking about at the very end on both ends underneath the top bar thats visible between both t-top glass.

sorry if i can't be more discriptive

here is an older picture of my car before body work and paint job with an arrow pointing at the spot i'm referring to.

Re: quick question about keeping t-tops from leaking

I filled that gap beind the center of the bar in my car with the 3M weatherstrip adhesive. If the weatherstripping itself is glued down well water wouldn't get past, but I don't see what good could come of water just sitting in there. I put adhesive on every spot that even looked like it could leak and I've blasted the crap out of my tops on the two car washes I've done since then and I have no leaks.
