Is there any diff. in body style between an 85 IRCO and 88 Iroc?
I have been looking at purchasing two cars, an 88 IROC, and an 85. I am so want to get the body I like, but I have looked at the two back and forth really can't see any diff. in the body style, maybe just something I have missed.
Can anyone tell me if there is any diff.? Even little ones, and if so can you point those out to me, give me something to compare on the two when I look at them. Thanks soooo much!

Spoiler is different, but this is a minor one at that. '85 had no third brake light whereas the '88 has one in it, as well as the '88 is bigger IIRC.

Although not a body difference, 85 will have v-belts, and 88 will have a serpentine belt. Not a huge deal, but I personally like the serpentine setup much better.

what are those? What is the diff between them? I am so new, I have no knowledge lol.. Between the 85 will have v-belts, and 88 will have a serpentine belt?
Cause here is the deal, Looking at buying an 85, or an 88, 85 has a 305 with some miles, no body damange, the 88 has a 350, and low miles but two huge dents. What would you do? For money, adn troublesome sake. Thats why I want to know the diff. Make sense?

V-belts are the old style of automotive belts, where you have one belt for each accessory (alternator, power steering, etc), and serpentine (88 and up) is the new style, where there is one flat belt for everything. It's easier to work on, and runs quieter and smoother. It sounds like the 88 might be a better deal, with both a 350 and low miles. Where are the dents located? Pretty much everything except the quarter panels (the panels behind the doors, rear fenders), and roof is pretty easy to replace. Also, I would check them both over thoroughly for rust, common areas are around the bottom of the wheel wells, the floor pans, and behind the ground effects.
