my brother totally ripped up his ttop bar (pics)

so im here online and i hear bangin of a hammer. i walk outside and my brother is completely goin at his ttop bar with a hammer and chisel.

this is the basic dialogue of the conversation.

"jason, what the heck are you doin?!?"

"tryin to get rid of this rusted out metal up here"

"Thats ur ttop bar man u gotta remove the weatherstripping to get it out"

"well, help me get this weatherstrippin out"

"how u gonna put the ttops on with no weatherstripping?? u gotta buy a new ttop bar and get it installed when u get new weatherstripping man"

"how much those cost?"

"about $200 on hawks thirdgen, u gotta bend that s**t back man"

"damn"

oh and my brother is 23, like me this is his first car

ya i dont know wat the heck he was thinkin...he didnt even look to see that the weatherstrippin goes through the ttop bar

yeah, I took my time taking out my old weatherstripping on one side, then my dad came out and took a crow bar and pried at it until the t-bar broke off and snapped the weatherstripping on the side I hadn't done yet. I added the pics to my other post.

Haha that really sucks. my t top bar was rust free when i pulled it off. And im in Illinois. How messed up is that?!

Pffff, thats nothing guys, my t-top bar came off in like 10 different pieces. Some of the worst rust I've ever seen. Fortunately this was the only piece on my car that had anything worse than surface rust. Picked up a rust-free one off an IROC at a boneyard for $2. Score.
