Re: Blinker lenses????????/

They can be sanded down with a very fine paper. Do a search on the board there are several posts on the correct way to do it. I will do a search too and post if I could find it.

Re: Blinker lenses????????/

Ok, so i took off my blinkers (what a pita that one bolt was). i got some really really fine sandpaper. i mean this stuff could have past as newspaper. and then wetsanded my blinker lenses. they are clear now and look good. but i got moisture on the inside, how do i get that out. do i have to take off my blinkers again and let them dry, or will it just dry as it is?

Re: Blinker lenses????????/

i am going to have to try sanding and polishing mine. because they are already off and they look like junk. i am also considering getting some of the clear ones off of ebay with the mirror backing. but that will have to be next year.

Re: Blinker lenses????????/

well, i did nothing with them since then, and they are starting to dry out, very slowly, but they are. o and the sanding looks good, they are almost perfectly clear again.

irockid, when you sand them, use very very fine sand paper, and wet sand them. if you already know that then just disregard it, not trying to insult you, just some advice if you didn't already know.

Re: Blinker lenses????????/

two things. first, i dont know if i would want to cut any kind of grove or hole in my bumper cover. second, i just used some "scratch out" on the lenses and it did a great job at removing the cloudyness but there is still some pits. over all they look 100% better and it only took about half an hour. i also washed and rinsed the inside out so that may have helped some.

you don't have to. just leave them sit, they will dry out. it just takes a few days. mine are good-as-new now. they look great.
