sagging door repair (pls help)
Hi, the sagging door is killing me, it makes my firebird sound like a trash, I replaced the door pins but they are still sagging...
People said I should replace the door hinges but there are hand made bodykit on my firebird so I may not able to take off the fender, is it possible to replace the door hinge without take off the fender ??
Or is there any other way to repair my sagging door ??
Pls help
Joe

Have you tried lifting the rear of the door to see if the top hinge pins are worn like Tmic87TPI said? Did you replace the bushings on the bottom hinge too? Does the bottom hinge "pop" when the door is opened?
My top pins were worn too, but when I replaced the bottom bushings and adjusted the lower hinge to compensate for the worn tops pins, the door closes perfect. I also removed the striker pin and enlarged the hole in the sheetmetal to allow me to move it inboard slightly. That latched the door tightly without having to slam it and 99% of my rattles disappeared.
It's a tight fit, but you can fit a 3/8" ratchet with a short 13mm socket to get at the forward bolt on the lower hinge. Move the hinge to the rear a fraction of an inch to raise the rear of the door.
