My 92 RS has tire rubber and tar on some of the ground effects and its a real pain. Tried goo remover but its really baked on there. The old owner loved to do burnouts. lol cant blame him, i love it too.

A product an autobody friend recommended was Sikkens Thinner/Degreaser (I picked up some of their antistatic degreaser from a local automotive shop).

It works great and easily removes road tar, etc. You don't even need very much. Just dampen a little on a rag and wipe it off. Follow it up with whatever car wax finish your using and your done.

I put a little in a smaller container that I take with me going to car shows. I always find fresh road tar under my car and on my paint when driving on the highways out here.
