Hey, does anyone know if a moon roof was available in 89 on the GTA model? Thanks for the help in advance!

Not unless it was a dealer modifications. The only option was T-Tops. Someone correct me if i'm wrong.

Sunroof/moonroof was never a factory option on any 82-92 Camaro/Firebird.
Some dealer's did them. Some owner's had them done aftermarket, but it was never a factory option.

I would have to disagree with that (the structural part). If you have ever seen a hardtop without a headliner, there is only a wimpy little bar going down the middle of the the roof. Most of the support comes from the large gunnel going down the outer edges, hence why hard tops are regarded as much stronger/sturdier than t-top cars. When you support a square section of material (that has flex forces exerted on it), supporting it around the parimeter is far stronger than in the middle......also why the hardtop cars had little wee bars down the middle. Removing that bar for a sunroof will weaken it yes, but not nearly as much.
