Thought I would post some pics of my 89 which is currently in the bodyshop and is almost ready.

I've have been scouring the Web and this site for ideas and here is my progress to date.

I finally settled on Victory Red with C5 ZO6 Rims - thanks to TPIROC for the inspiration.

Here's what it looked like when I first bought it...

This was the original paint. The hood was in terrible condition.

 

Here's what it looked like earlier today. They still need to shoot the bumbers, mirrors and put the car back together.

I'll also be lowering it before it's back on the road...it looks like a 4x4 right now.

looks great. did they spray the engine bay or are you just gonna black it out with a rattle can?

 

Looks great, I personally wouldn't have done red though. Red cars are all over the place, white not so much... especially with the yellow/silver striping. What springs are you going to use?

Also, I see the windsheild moulding has been removed. Have you found a moulding that can be put back in without removing the glass?

the paint looks good even though i liked the white better that was a pretty mint car to begin with. Please tell me your gonna paint the head light buckets black again

Hi everyone, thanks for the honest feedback.

To answer some questions...

1. The engine bay is getting the black rattle can treatment until I pull the motor.
2. I'm lowering it with Eibach Sportlines.
3. I imagine the body shop will pull the windshield out to get the moulding back in...but I'm not sure.
4. The light buckets will get painted black again.

 

it pulls out and presses back in, has nothing to do with removing the windshield.

 

Every one I've ever done, there is too much urethane in the way or the glass is just simply too close to the body. Honestly though, I've never tried that hard because I know a glass guy that will pull the window for me for cheap. He installs a new moulding too.

Hi, I have a 1985 Chevrolet Camaro Berlinetta, here’s a link to see it http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3088924 and the 3rd to last row you can see were my glass from the driver side window is chipping away at my car and that mark you see is from a metal Piece of my car. I don’t know how the glass hasn’t cracked but every time I closed the door it hits there. I don’t know much about cars, so I need some help. Can I just adjust the hinge or do I replace it. Also can someone tell me what’s that thing I’m holding in the 5th from the bottom picture? it came from the top of the car.
