Need advice on how to proceed with paint work

I have a bright red 1990 Iroc with 49000 miles. It is in immaculate condition except for some front end damage ie: hood, drivers fender, front bumper cover. I will need to replace the damaged parts but the rest of the car is spotless. The body shop says that they will paint the hood, fender, and bumper cover on the car then "blend the paint" into the drivers door and right front fender then completely clearcoat them two panels along with the replaced parts. Is this the best way to go? I am not a big fan of painting panels that have no damage or previous paintwork. I also don't want the replaced parts to be noticably obvious. Any advice?
Thanks for your help guys......

I would say that shop is telling you the right way to do it. Red is a hard color to get a panel paint job to match especially if the old paint is very old. when you blend it in to the other connecting panels it will look alot better and be a better match.
