Best way to paint nose?

I did a couple of searches but couldn't find a good answer. I just picked up a 85-90 nose for my 84z from the junk yard and I was wondering what the best way to paint it would be. I dont need a great finish i just want it to look half decent. Can I just use some sand paper to sand it down and then use some dupli color primer and paint? I really am pretty bad with body stuff so any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Re: Best way to paint nose?

Duplicolor is not the WORST idea in the world, but it's not the best either. I did Duplicolor on my '92 Lumina bumper when I was in college and had to fix it myself after I wrecked it. It held up fine and matched perfect, but it wasn't the best. Lots of orange peel. I would recommend taking it to a body shop and letting them paint it. Probably won't be too expensive for just the nose. And most body shops can match your existing paint nicely.
