call me stupid but how can i tell if the car i have is a gta?

 

The most obvious way is the GTA badging, but if it has been removed you can probably tell from the RPO codes.

 

rpo codes? mine has no badges it does have fog lights and the hood vents?

Im going to say no its not. Look at the fenders..It has vents. They didnt come with them but that doesnt mean someone cut/or put new fenders on it. Also inside..on the pass side the dash pocket will say "gta". What does your speedo say? 120 or 140? thats just some of the things. Im sure someones going to freak out and say that just "trans am" could have came with 140 speedos..Im just trying to make a point. Everyone has to be right around here...Im just helping ya out

 

Yea, looks like a T/A not a GTA. Check the RPO sticker in your console box for the code y84 in the last line. Also does it have articulated seats?

 

map pcket is missing so are the front seats they were replaced with 4th gen seats as far as the codes and speedo i just bought the car for $400 and was told it needed a fuel pump and starter all it was is it needed gas and a new battery LOL great deal. the guy i bought it from knows nothing about it he got it from a lien sale "tow yard" here are some interior pics.
