orb of power vacuum ball

the vacuum ball under the front left fender well (below battery tray)...........how does it actually attach on, does it attach to a bracket or just to the battery tray itself? I am swapping to factory cruise and am wondering if i need to get a bracket to mount it.

thanks.

I can take pictures if you want, it attachs right through and onto the cruise unit above. That is on my 85 firebird, my 91 seems a bit differen't tho

There are tapped tabs if you will on the driver side of a camaro and provisions on the pass side also. If you're using the pass side you'll need clips simliar to the ones (not the same size) that attach the fenders. You can also just use a nut, washer, bolt to fasten it as well, just don't crank down on tightening and you won't crack the plastic.

That would be cool if you could. But attaches to the cruise unit on an 85? Or are you referring to a carbed car? I just realized that, battery is on the passenger side........but i still though 85-up all had the cruise module mounted on the fender beside the washer tank?
