How in the heck do you adjust this???

Just put a new rear deck lid on my Firebird, it came off a Camaro...I didn't think there would be any differences.

I got the bolts loosened and I pushed as far as it will go....that's where it stops

Damn, that's a big gap . Have you removed the lower panel from the glass? If not, you're going to need to. I went through it a couple a months ago, it's aggravating. You'll need to scrape off all of the black goo between the glass and the metal panel.

Here's my thread on it...

Good job my friend!
How ya gonna fill&redrill the holes for the rear qtr.gfx & door pieces?
Since you plan on installing newer front fenders they should be of no worry, but the other panels still need attention.

I may hit the local pull a part next weekend and pick some solid doors, mine have slight hail damage anyways.

I noticed yesterday the holes didn't line up on the rear....I'm going to just weld in some small pieces of sheet metal and put some filler over it.

Shame that I'm dropping a 305 TBI engine in the car, it has the full performace supsension (ws6, think that what it's called)...rear disc brakes, bigger sway bars ect....I think the previous owner put a subframe brace or something under the car....something looks different under there.

Maybe after I get the car done I'll look at dropping in a better engine

dude!look at my photobucket album highlighted below!I did a half a**ed 305 tpi in my car after all that body work and am now building a new 350 for her.
Do yourself a favor and get what you want for an eng. now instead of after you get the rest of the car done.
