attaching weatherstriping

I have a 1988 Coupe. It is a race car and has not had roll up windows in years . I have new weatherstriping for the body to door window seal. How did it attach? There are small holes but the weatherstrip looks like it should go into a track or clips? Anyone out there that has replaced the weatherstriping on a coupe give me a clue please. We are running this car at Bonnaville next year and I do not want to blast down the salt with windows flapping

Re: attaching weatherstriping

the weatherstrip should have come with lil push fasteners installed in the strip so you can just push it to the hole in the door. they have lil teeth that grab and hold tight.
if indeed you have weatherstrip, with no way to mount it, LMK. i can try and explain what i did.
hah.

Re: attaching weatherstriping

If you are reinstalling the weatherstriping the strip for the glass part of the door goes into a metal channel that screws into the roof and "A" and "B" pillars. make sure the stripping comes with it or PM me I have an extra set but the weatherstrip has a few tears in it but is usable.
Thanks
Dave
