Re: hood alignment help

It seems lie such a simple thing, but sometimes the hood is the hardest thing to align. Loosen the fender bolts and adjust those too. That is the right thing to do once you have the hood "close".
Good luck!

Re: hood alignment help

Did you get this fixed yet? What is the one side rubbing on? Hoods are pretty simple to align. The hood is square... the opening has to be square too. That can be a problem sometimes.
If the hood is rubbing on a fender at the rear of the hood, loosen the rear hood bolts on each side and push it over a little bit. If it's got good gaps at the rear and it's hitting at the front loosen one side and move the hood forward or backward depending on which way the front needs to go. If thats the case you would have a wide gap on one side and no gap on the other. Of course your problem may not be the hood, it may be the fender that needs adjusting. Post a pic... that makes it so much easier.

Re: hood alignment help

That dent in the fender might not be helping too much.
----------
Looking at it again, you might try messing with the rubber hood stop at the bottom corner of the hood on the radiator support. You can "lift" the hood this way and you might help yourself out that way.

Re: hood alignment help

I'm guessing the dent and the force that put the dent there may have moved the fender in some. Can't see the gap on the other side... is it ok?
For this side open the hood and loosen the fender bolts along the edge of the fender and try and move it out some to get a better gap. With the damage it won't be straight but it may not rub. If you have a wide gap on the other side you can move the hood latch over a bit too . But if the otherside is good leave it alone.
