Transmission: built 700r

Rear hatch issues

Rear hatch on my 92 rs is stuck closed and lock just spins when you turn the key. anyone have an idea of how to get this thing open?

Crawl thru the back, pull the plastic covers off, and you should be able to release it from the inside.
