Re: NEED FRONT AND REAR BUMPERS

there should only be 3 bolts on each side and license plat cover bolts and I think 1 bolt on each side that connects the rear gfx to the bumper, but if interested I have a 82-84 z28 bumper for cheap

Re: NEED FRONT AND REAR BUMPERS

rear bumper...
you have 3 10mm bolts on each SIDE in the cargo area.
You have to remove the tail lights (10 wing nuts)
You have 2 10mm bolts for the license plate
You have 6 plastic snaps up top
you have 5 plastic snaps on bottom.
you have 2 small screws that hold the rocker gfx to the bumper.

Then if you need the metal bumper, you have 8 13 or 15mm bolts.

front bumper gfx(91-92 model)...
countless 10mm bolts going to the nose piece
4 metal clips to the fender
2 screws in fenderwell

front nose after gfx are gone...
4-5 10mm nuts each side bolting to the fender (these suck getting to)
8'ish small screws to remove the tray or dual snorkle depending upon model
8-10 10mm bolts to undo brackets under tray/snorkle
2 bolts and 4 clips to undo wind trays on underside (if still there)
6-8'ish plastic clips on bottom side going to metal bumper

Re: NEED FRONT AND REAR BUMPERS

for the original poster, please be aware that your bumpers are specific to 1991 and 1992 only. The rear bumper cover is absolutely not the same as earlier years due to the fact that the ground effects changed for 91 and 92 and they are molded as one piece with the rear bumper cover. The front ground effects are a separate piece, so the front bumper cover might be the same as 85-90, but you'll have to confirm that with someone more familiar with Camaros (I know more about the firebirds). I'm almost certain that the front bumper cover was different for 82-84 though.

Re: NEED FRONT AND REAR BUMPERS

I think I described it pretty well, with the exception of not knowing if 85-90 and 91-92 front bumper covers are the same excluding the bolted on ground effects. "fit" can mean a lot of things to different people. If you mean will it bolt up and possibly look like crap, than sure.

I'll try to do Cliffs Notes for you. If you want an exact match to the original bumper covers than you need a 91-92 rear bumper cover. In the front you can definitely use a 91-92 front bumper cover including that bolted on ground effects and you MIGHT have the option of using an 85-90 front bumper cover and bolt your existing ground effects to it.
