t-top vs hard top

ok i bought a roll cage that came out of a hard top 88 camaro. I am having the worst time trying to get it into my 89 t-top. its a bolt it one so it should just go in and bolt up.
I am wondering if there is a difference in heigth from a hard top to a t-top. i want this thing tight but its so tight i can't get it the rest of the way in.

Re: t-top vs hard top

The T-top roof is thicker in places than the coupe roof which is just a sheetmetal skin and some thin supports going across. I think thats probably your problem.

Fire up the torch ... it's time for an adjustment!
