Seriously considering 91-92 Firebird GFX, couple questions...
I have a 1988 GTA and am seriously considering swapping over to the 91-92 style Firebird gfx. I may be going to a few junkyards this weekend, and if they haven't cycled through a bunch of cars in the last couple weeks, last time I was there you could EASILY get a set of 91-92 gfx together, excluding at least one if not both of the little frong gfx parts. Here's my questions:
Aside from the bolt holes for those little front pieces, which I know use double sided tape to attach to the fender, are the bolt holes for the rocker gfx and door gfx different? In other words, am I going to have to fill my previous holes and drill new ones?
Also, how necessary is it to swap the headlight assemblies? I know the 91-92 had slightly different doors, should they just bolt on to my 88 assemblies so they extend far enough to close the gap between assembly door/front bumper?
