is it my car or....
I bought a Harwood 4" cowl and it fit like, well it fit bad. It was 1/2" short on the length and 3/4" short on the width. It fit good at the top towards the windshield but as it got closer to the nose the gap got larger on both sides. I took measurements or my stock hood and thats how I got those #'s. Harwood's customer service told me to "roll" the top of my fenders in to make it fit.
I took it back. My question is will a cervini hood do the same thing or should I just go with a goodmark hood? Weight is not an issue but is nice. However fitment is #1. Coin #2. I have read many posts on cervini but I am not convinced it isn't my car. My hood fit nice but.....I dont want to mess with fitting a new one much. I.E. I stink at it. Goodmark is supposed to be a gm replacement part. Any thought's would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

how were the gaps on your stock hood? It could have just been the hood, but the fenders do have some adjustment if needed.

The gaps were even and decent looking maybe 3/16" each side all they way up. If I rolled the fenders in like they suggested then it would have not matched the nose. They ment just the top of the fenders. I had a body guy come to the shop and he could not believe how bad it was. He said it might be the car. (wrecked) Just kinda undecided on what to do and want to bounce my thoughts off of others. Thanks for the reply.

if you measured it compared to your stock hood and it was undersize by .5 to .75 inches, I wouldn't start blaming your car. I've always heard good things about the fit and finish of Cervini hoods, and I think Goodmark has a good reputation also... so it's worth giving either of them a shot. You could request that they measure the hood before sending it to you. Don't feel bad about asking, just explain how your last one didn't work and you want to make sure you'll be happy with their hood rather than having to send it back.

Actually I did call cervini's twice. Talked to the same guy both times. Yesterday I called and left a message. Asked them for the measurements and still have not recieved an answer or a return call.
Good mark said they will pull one when there supplier sends them to them??? Still looking though cause I need a hood.
