Transmission: THM700R4 (Stock)

Axle/Gears: Stock 2.73 gears. No Posi

Two Gun Metal Gray Codes

Ok, so what's the deal with Gun Metal #84 and Gun Metal #87 (my car being #87)? I do know that Gun Metal gray any code was not offered in 1992.

I'm not sure what you're asking. However, here's a breakdown (there's no gun metal #84):

1982 #84 is charcoal
1983 #82 is charcoal
1984 #82 is charcoal
1985 #15 is medium gray
1986 #84 is medium gray
1987 #84 and #87 is medium gray
1988 #87 is medium gray
1989 #87 is medium gray
1990 #87 is medium gray
1991 #87 is medium gray

Hey thanks a lot. Yea, gun metal was my slip up. So for 1987 was a two code deal for the medium gray. Maybe a different shade by a bit.

I do want to think that when they went from a single stage to using a Clear coat they did change some numbers in 1986.

I want to think that the 84 was used as a secondary color, and a little different hue. I want to think the lower color on my 87 was the 84, it actually has some Pearl metallic...
