Rusted floor boards

ok so im sure some of you guys have had to deal with rust.
ive actually had my car torn apart for awhile but its been on hold untill now.
i was wonder what is the best way to go about fixing rust hole in the floor boards. should i just pop rivet in some sheet metal? or replace the whole floor board?. obviously the new floor boards will cost me more. any input?

thanks, Adam

I am a fan of sheet metal... at some point it's not safe enough though!
If you are rusted just in the low points where water is expected to pool up then sheet metal. If you are rusted across the floors to the point where even your seat brackets are toast then it's better to cut out the floorboards and weld new ones in place.

Re: Rusted floor boards

with the amount of rust that is there im pretty sure its just smarter to replace the floor boards. but im having a hard time finding them. where can i buy them from? and do they sell them in sections? or just the whole pan?

becuase the only part that has rust on it is in the front where your feet sit.

I believe year one sells complete floor pans. Don't know of anyone that just sells sections... you might get lucky and be able to cut the piece out you need at the bone yard...
