I started to cut in my drivers side jams fender and door 3 coats of ppg base.I did not get a chance to clear it last night. My question is can i spray the clear today even though it is raining out?My garage is completly dry but the humidity is high today.I will heat the garage to about 65f.will this have any bad effects?

Re: spraying base clear

Yeah, you'll be fine. Scuff it and shoot it. Most base coats don't even require a scuff if cleared within 24 hours.

Re: spraying base clear

check your tech sheet, you may not even have to scuff it. Tech sheets for all the major paint companies are usually available in pdf's online. If youre within the recoat window, wipe it down with some prepsall, let that flash real good, and then shoot it. If you have to scuff it with P1000, make sure to wipe it down real good with a tack-rag as well
