First timer
Ok. This is my first car. I've had my 'bird for two years now, and I love working on it. I've done lots of engine work, and interior work, and now all thats left is body work and paint. I can have someone paint the car, but he doesn't do body work, which leaves me to do the body work. And this is gonna be my first time doing body work.
The body of the car is *somewhat* straight. In terms of dents theres only about three in total, and only a few scratches. theres also only one little rust bubble on the rear quarter. So heres my plan. Let me know if I'm on the right track, If I should add something, or change something:
-Repair the rust bubble, and fill in any dents or little flaws with bondo
-sand down entire car with a da sander (320 Grit?? what grit should i use?)
-Once car is sanded, clean, and spray 3-4 coates of primer
-mist car with black spray paint, and block sand (can someone explain this process, and what a good grit is?
-wetsand car
-ready for paint?
All turn signals, lights, taillights, have already been removed.
I'm not looking for a show quality job here. Just something thats all one colour, and actually has a shine, instead of being flat and multicloured like it is right now lmfao. Any help or input would be really good!

I think you should be able to find most of this info by searching the board. You are pretty much on the right track, I always have to look around for suggestions on the grit to use. If you go too corse you will leave deep scratches in the metal that is a pain to sand out or fill in with filler primer.
I would suggest asking your painter his prefered methodoloy like most things there are dozens of ways that work, and it comes down to how you prefer to do it. Also make sure you use a compatible primer with the paint system he will be using.
Im sure someone better at body work will chime in with the grit suggestions, but do make sure to check with the painter on his suggestions.
