Re: black wheels yay or nay

black in my opinion....
kinda like my powder coated and polished iroc wheels (hard to see polish in camera)
so I'm kinda bias on this...but like black wheels for sure....

I agree with the above. White wheels on a white car are far less dramatic.

1 chrome
2 aluminum
3 rust
4 black

but your using black as kind of an accent so it works well, but i hate all black wheels.
91interceptor, those wheels look great with a black accent. also the 91-92 z28 wheels. the wheels in the first picture, i think look good with a light silver, and the rim (bead area) around the wheel and 10 spokes going to the center polished aluminum.

Re: black wheels yay or nay

I have to admit that I am not usually a fan of black wheels...

Looking at the pics they do stand out w/ the white body - looks good...

Put me down for Black as well!

Black wheels look great on a white body. That is what I plan on doing.

I like the white better. The black wheels give it more of an old beat up look. The white wheels give it a fresh new look and makes the car look new.

Re: black wheels yay or nay

When my car was red I was all about black wheels. Then I did a color change and painted my car white. I kept the same black wheels on it. To me it just doesn't have the same appeal. The black wheels to me make my white car look plain and cheap. I was considering painting them back to gold like they were originally, but then I saw a pic of a white TTA with the white crosslace wheels.

.....Mine are going white.

IMO, black wheels look good on just about every color car except white. There are a few exceptions, there are a select few white cars that look good with black, but most look like a cheap base model.

Black - Unless your a stock **** , it sets the car apart. There is a guy running around here in El Paso, with a white thirdgen RS V8 with a paint scheme similar to the old highway patrol (black and white) with those rims that always catches my attention. I like black rims.

Re: black wheels yay or nay

thnks guys for the comments. and i plan on going aftermarket within the year. and its not a stock car. has built 355 sbc. with the 275 60 r15 in the back it looks pretty mean and i think the black wheels just set it off more.
