Hood Pin Install Trick

Here's a little trick for you guys that want to install hood pins.

Install the pins onto the frame section of the car as the directions state.Put some chaulk or, I used wheel bearing grease on the top of the two prongs sticking up.Gently lower the hood,so that it sits on top of the pins. This will leave a mark on the underside of the hood, letting you know the exact location to drill the two holes for the pins. To drill the actual holes, bought a cone shaped drill from Home Depot to drill through the fiberglass hood.

Hope this helps

Peanut butter works well also, creamy not chunky.
