4th gen. mirrors onto 3rd gen.

Before i go out and start looking around for mirrors from a trans am or firebird. i was curious if 4th gen mirrors would bolt right up to my 91 GTA? if not, what modifications need to be made?

Bolt right up? Not in a long shot!

Do a Several of us have done this already & there are MANY threads, with pics (including mine), about what all needs to be done.

BTW....It's worth the effort to do it!

Mine are on and look perfect. Can't wait to get my body painted so it doesn't look different colors, but i love them! Plus a lot easier to find power 4th gen mirrors than it is to find power third gen mirrors, so if you wanted to upgrade along the way you can.

Agreed, I was having a hard time locating 3rd gen power mirrors.

Got a set if you'd like them

Here's a link, hope it helps for a view into 4th gen T/A mirrors on our Thirds. GL!

Re: 4th gen. mirrors onto 3rd gen.

no thanks. i have a set already. I was just curious if anybody had done the fit yet and what was needed. I'm gonna pretty much swap the car with newer body parts. Such as the wing, mirrors, ram air, and ect.
