I found an area of rust below my rear bumper where the bumper cover attaches to a metal piece (bar) that runs across the car. Is that a common rust area? I remember once I was looking at a Z28 that was really rusted in that spot! Anyone else have more info??

 

yes it is but its usually just surface rust.

YIKES! mine is reall close. I can feel it cracking! So now my ? is. How do u fix it??

 

It's a bolt on part. Just get another one.

 

Mine is doing this as well. I poked and pinched it the other day and chunks of rotted "metal" fell to the ground.

You can see right through it in some areas now!
