quick queston
im not sure if its a part or paint, but im trying to figure out if the black around the iroc headlight is am actual part. i was looking at a camaro catalog and i couldnt find the part so is it just paint?

i guess i'm lost are u talking about the fiberglass piece that goes behind the head light that goes from left side to right side.

im alking about the head light ring in general. it goes on front of the headlight and screws to the fiberglass. only see the top screws. and the bottoms ones r behind the nose. and i cant reach the bottom

okay we are on the same page then lol. i see what ur saying i just had mine repainted and i had that problem also all i did was have to push the plastic (the bumper around the head lights) down long enough for me to get the screw out try that see if that will work for u.

thats sucks but i do understand mine were kind of a bitch. i had to force mine. i haven't took off my nose yet but a friend of mine told me there easy and take no time. sorry i couldn't help ya.

I simply put some masking tape below the the headlamps to protect the headlight bucket, pushed down and unscrewed.

Have you tried using the adjusting screws to adjust the light around to see if you can get more room. Thats what I have to do on my firebird, unless I take the trim off which is easier to do on a firebird than a camaro.
I think if you have a generic retention ring its harder to get to than the GM part.
Most parts stores will have a generic retention ring for the headlight .
