All the parts are replaceable, just get donor parts from the JY and have a blast.

Re: outside mirrors

The mirror lenses themselves are held into the mirror housing by 3 screws. My car has phillips head screws. By moving the mirror around inside the housing you can get to all three screws.

So to answer your question, all you need is the bracket that screws into the housing.

i thought they were glued on. everything i have read appear to show heating and pulling the lense off. do you have any pics of the 3 screws you are talking about?
i have a new set of power mirrors to put on but the mirror looks like crap but the ones i am replacing are in excellent condition, would love to find that you can unscrew them.

Re: outside mirrors

mine are glued on to a backing. you have to heat them to break the glue free.
check with top down solutions - he is a member here. he might know.
and be sure to post if you get them apart, i would love to see the insides.

Re: outside mirrors

Your saying that the mirror bracket is glued to the mirror shell?

Re: outside mirrors

no. i say the mirror is glued to its backing and you cant get inside the darn shell until you remove that and there is no way to get in to do anything but unscrew it.
here is a set of instructions taken from a side mirror replacement site.
hope it helps.
