i personally think the 3rd Gen body is better.

reason 1 : i think the new camaro and firebird and challenger all look the same. only diff is the nose and tail lights.

Reason 2 : i think the new camaro doesnt look as mean as the 3rd Gen, or even a 4th gen. maybe because i seen to many new onese where i live?

thats just my opinon what do yo guys think is better? 3rd gen or a 5th Gen.

It depends.

2010 Camaro vs. '84 Berlinetta = 5th Gen wins.

But 2010 Camaro vs. 89 IROC convertible with chrome 18" IROC wheels, low profile tires, low stance, polished stainless exhaust tips, beautiful paint = 3rd Gen wins.

To me, beauty in the new Camaros is defined by what's under the hood. The V6 cars, even though they look the same as the SS cars, just don't do anything for me. It's almost a stupid concept. But a SS Camaro with a LS3 under the hood ... now THAT is a nice ride.

But in my honest opinion, a 3rd Gen Firebird is the best looking American car that has ever been on the road. Makes the Camaros look like poop.

I really like the 5th gen body style, the ss is really nice too. But its not something you can easily compare to a 3rd gen. I mean they both have 4 wheels and 2 doors, but that's about it.

 

i dont like it much... iroc-z followed by 4th gen trans am ws6 with that bad *** hood

I dont know if you can compare the 2... But as much as I love Iroc-z's (which i really truely do) I have to say 5th gen camaro ss. To me that car wont look dated. But until I get one its a 3rd gen and even if i have them both, its like children- I'll love them both EQUALLY!

Have any of you seen the lingenfelter 5th gen camaro with all it's exterior additions? If not...search for it. That thing looks bad asz...and more menacing than a 3rd gen camaro. But I agree with gcgarner, 3rd gen firebird makes camaros look like "poop".

i don't really like the new camaro. the front is ok, but the rear just makes it worse.

 

i have only had the chance to look one over for 15 mins. . kind of like a very attractive ( slightly chubby ) young lady . i could live with it , a 1-2" drop all around i think is needed .
