removal of rear tail light
Re: removal of rear tail light
You do not say if it is a Camaro or a Firebird - here is how for Camaro -You will need to remove the plastic trim panels in the rear - the one at the very back that the hatch latches into) just a few screws, and both side trims (don't know if you have the molded side trims or the carpeted panels), and if I recall correctly you also need to take out the spare. Then you should be able to see the back side studs of the taillights - just unscrew by hand, I think it is about 5 per light - I think you also need to remove your license plate mounting, easy just a couple bolts. Now you should be able to pull your taillight out from the exterior, it will move out a few inches and then you can reach benind it to twist out each of the bulbs/connectors - that's it. Took me about 20 minutes when I did mine and I started with no clue so it can't be that hard!
