Re: Upper Door Hinges
I fixed a door that was sagging by using a 2x4 and a bottle jack, and jacked the door little by little till it fit like new. This might be a bit crude, but it worked. I keep it greased to stop or I should say minimize wear. I learned this trick from a friend who had success with it.

Re: Upper Door Hinges
IDK about the e-bay product but I bet it is junk. As far as jacking up the door with a 2x4 just as bad. If your gonna fix it, fix it once and fix it right.

Re: Upper Door Hinges
I'd recommend replacing these in pairs, upper & lower. Then it would be fixed properly.

Well have some kits in stock soon.

I agree. It's a time consuming job, and I've never done it before. The easy way out worked for now.

Re: Upper Door Hinges
I used them on my 84 TA, I made mine greaseable. Replace upper and lower. The first is the hardest one, this is the one you learn on. It took me 2.5 hours to do the first and 4 hours to do the other 3. Use a dremel w/cutoff wheel to cut the top of the old pin off, it is the fastest way I found. You need the spring tool to reinstall and remove the upper hinge spring. It can be poped off with a big screw driver just make sure you cover it with a big rag it can take an eye out when it goes flying off.
