I am restoring an 86 camaro z28, and was wondering if anyone know the correct paint codes for the engine and valve covers.

 

ok, I just went with a high temp satin black for the engine block. are the heads supposed to be black as well? also really hoping someone can provide some insight as to what color the valve covers are supposed to be before it's time to put them back on.

 

Same black as the rest.

 

no, the valve covers were some sort of silver. i had them hot tanked though, and need to repaint them. seems like there would be a list somewhere of paint codes that gm used for engines and such.

they look kinda grey in the picture, put i am pretty sure it was a silver.
